Why do you think Gandhi considered the Champaran episode to be a turning pint in his life?

Ans.

The Champaran episode was considered as a turning point as it made Gandhi realise true power of Civil Disobedience movement and it's possible huge contribution in national freedom struggle. It also gave peasants a glance of the power they had in the form of unity. Which made fully armed british army to surrender.

How was Gandhi able to influence lawyers? Give instances.

Ans.

Gandhi influenced the lawyers in many ways. First, he made lawyers realise that, charging high amount to peasants to represent them in court in such situation is situation is wrong. Gandhi chided the lawyers for collecting big fee from the sharecroppers. As it won't do much good to them instead increase their financial burden. Second, he made them realise that when an outsider like him is ready for imprisonment to help them, why not others.

What was the attitude of the average Indian in smaller localities towards advocates of home rule?

Ans.

An average Indian are afraid to shw sympathy to advocates of home-rule, as giving any support to such advocate will automatically make them enemy of british government and prone to it's consequences.

How do we know that ordinary people too contributed to the freedom movement?

Ans.

Each and everyone contributed to the freedom movement in their own way. A simple farmer Rajkumar Shukla took initiative, sharecroppers supported Gandhi and made government powerless in front of him, after sharecroppers becoming full owner of their field several others helped him in hid mission of making everyone self-reliant, the doctors who provided proper medication to fight against disease and people who cooperated with him.

"Freedom form fear is more important than legal justice for the poor do you think that the poor of india are free from fear after independence?

Ans.

The fear developed by the british government stopped the sharecroppers from going against british government and fight for their rights. They needed some support and guidance to increase their rights. They needed some support and guidance to increase their courage and to evoke their strength, their unity which ultimately will make them self reliant and ensure their consistent development whereas legal justice will only free them form agreement not from fear of british government and hence would hamper their freedom.

Ans.

A good leader need to be humble and respect everyone and everyone's opinion. A leader need to take proper initiatives, and always motivates his people. A leader need to have proper focus and clear vision and ability to think for future and foresee, one of the most important characteristic of a good leader is Decisiveness.
